'The Great Gatsby' and 'The Very Thought Of You'
These two classics match very well. F Scott Fitzgerald's book will be broadcasted as a 10-part reading on BBC World service over the week, Monday 20th-24th October 2008, two episodes per day. The signature tune will be 'The Very Thought Of You' performed by the Pasadena Roof Orchestra.

Cricket & Jazz
Sandwiched between their engagements in GB was the annual appearance of the Pasadena Roof Orchestra Cricket Club. Kindly hosted by our friends at Witham Cricket Club the game was played by musicians associated with the orchestra past and present.

Touring UK & Radio Feature

A magical evening at the "Bietigheimer Wunderland"
Perfect outside weather conditions at the festival "Bietigheimer Wunderland" last Saturday. The orchestra played in the old town of Bietigheim on a specially errected stage.

So you think you can dance Scandinavia!
The candidates Siv and Martin, both attending the dance contest show 'So you think you can dance Scandinavia' have chosen the category 'dance comedy' for one of their challenges. Their choreographer spotted the tune Casa Loma Stomp from Pasadena Roof Orchestra's CD "Roots Of Swing" and selected this title for the couple's performance.

Springtime is festival time!
The Pasadena Roof Orchestra wowed the audience at three long-established jazz festivals in Germany last week. All performances were sold-out, and attracted many jazz fans having seen the band at former appearances there.

Boomtown Jazzfestival in Stuttgart
For the first time, the Boomtown Jazzfestival in Stuttgart took place during Easter holidays. The festival closed with the performance of Pasadena Roof Orchestra at the Gustav-Siegle-Haus which was indeed a great venue to play at - as well for a great audience!

Sell-outs at Winchester and Kingston
The Pasadena Roof Orchestra sold out the theatres at Winchester and Kingston last month. The concerts were very well received and the audience went out of the stalls humming a good tune with a smile on their faces.

Pasadena Roof Orchestra at the LEA!
11th March saw the band playing a tribute to promoter Karsten Jahnke who received a lifetime achievement award at the Live Entertainment Awards (LEA) at the massive Color Line Arena in Hamburg.

German TV-Show with Pasadena Roof Orchestra!
The orchestra is again taking part in the German TV show "Aschermittwoch der Kaberettisten", broadcast on Ash Wednesday, 6th February, on Bavarian Television (BR 21.45). The orchestra participated in the same show broadcast last year.
